Tourism Central Otago, in association with 30 local businesses, is launching a new food and wine campaign called EAT.TASTE.CENTRAL this Spring.

The Regional Business Partners has been running in Central Otago for over six years. In this time, we have connected over 140 businesses with support and allocated over $120,000 of central government funding for business development training. The scheme has had particularly strong engagement from the tourism sector.

Earlier this year TCO worked with local foodie Glenda Rogers of Gertz Larder and catering, developing a biscuit that represents Central Otago for use as a promotional gift. The flavours of sour cherries, thyme, almonds and raspberries are baked into little biscuits packed with colour and goodness.

TCO hosted Australian Mountain Bike Magazine on a whirlwind tour of Central Otago riding experiences in December. The first of four features was published in their February issue, and Central Otago even captured the cover image.
