Held on the 2nd January each year, this is a great event on the lake with options to complete either two or three disciplines, with further permutations on the water to either kayak or swim this leg – you chose.
The start/finish and transition area is at McNulty Inlet - a great location for supporters and spectators to get close to all the action. For the athletes, being on and near the lake for each leg can be challenging with likely weather changes, but well worth it.
Individuals and teams compete, so we get to watch the serious athletes as well as cheering on our family, neighbours and friends. A great day for working off the excesses of the holiday season and starting the year with a satisfying event whatever distances or disciplines you want to put your body through. Have fun and enjoy.
