Business Development is always looking to make available important or relevant reports relating to the District’s economic performance. The attached reports are updated from time to time.

The report on Central Otago in 2010 and 2020 is an interesting and possibly visionary document that was compiled by an economic advisory group in 2002. It is well worth a read to compare what their vision was for 2010 and what this possibly means for 2020.

Council commissions an annual economic profile of the district. This year we combined with the other Otago based local authorities to produce an Otago wide profile that still produces all the same information for Central Otago

Other reports are listed for shorter periods as they remain relevant. We currently have a presentation from Dr Jim Salinger and Rod Oram looking at climate change and the impact of carbon trading shcemes and food miles.
