Cycle the Rail Trail in comfort with Off The Rails. Our three and four day cycle tours feature heritage accommodation, great bikes and customised transport, all exclusive to our guests to ensure the quality experience that is our trademark.
Discover a world of difference as you cycle 150kms through some of New Zealand’s most spectacular landscapes, immortalised by local artist Grahame Sydney. Explore Central Otago’s unique culture and history with our much-loved local guides, on sightseeing trips such as the Hayes Engineering plant, historic gold diggings, and the ancient sport of curling in Naseby.
At the end of the day, our guide will collect you from the Rail Trail and bring to you to the art deco town of Ranfurly, where our host will welcome you to one of our heritage properties. This will be your home away from home during the tour, where you can settle in and feel part of the community.
In the evening, we provide complimentary transport to and from dinner at one of the iconic pubs or restaurants in nearby historic villages, which are not on the Rail Trail itself, giving you another chance to meet some of the colourful characters of timeless Central Otago.
